They love their Dad!

Four nights a week I work. Right now my shift is weekend graveyards. Because this is the case, Ryan is tasked with the job of having to put the boys to bed every night by himself.
On the nights that I am home I feel like I am kind of a fly on the wall. It is my most favorite thing, to watch them get ready for bed. Its like I have been allowed to sneak a peak into the boys world and I feel so blessed to be able to watch it and get a peek into their time together.
--------------------------------
they play hide and seek
Paxton has to check the toy box and his room before he will "find" Daddy They walk on the ceilingThey get thrown up to the ceiling and caughtThey wrestle with their Dad. I didn't get a picture but its really cute to watch Gauge walk up to Paxton and Ryan wrestling and he just lays right on top of them with no fear. Then, they get thrown. This must be quite an exercise for Ryan because they take turns. They run in for the tackle and he grabs them and throws them onto the couchoverand over again
After the rough housing Ryan brushes teeth and then reads to them. The very last thing they do is get on Paxton's bed. Gauge climbs the ladder onto Paxton's bed and they play for one last minute. After all of this is completed, Ryan and Paxton say a prayer and then they go down to bed. Tired and happy boys. I love that my boys get this time with their Dad. It would be a tragedy if they didn't get time with him to play with him and to love him. He is so wonderful!! Thanks baby!

The 2nd Garage.
I know I know, how spoiled are we?! Two garages?
Well, the '67 was taking up all of the space in our little garage and Moab is approaching...FAST!
We have decided that this is the year of the bronco. Its the year that she is going to shine, that she is going to awe and most importanty, she is going to run...good!
"The Ox is in the myer Whit"
So here you have the new garage: You have to admit, this is one sexy bronco! _______________
MORE SNOW!!
Actually we were quite lucky. We only received 4 inches this time. The rest of the County had a bit of a microburst. 12+ inches of snow with cars and trees blown over. Phew! _______
Valentines Day To the left is the Valentines bag that Paxton made at school. He had a little party and passed out Valentines. He loved it. Then he brought Mom and Daddy a Valentine too. We also opened Valentines sent to them by Grandma
Thanks mom, they loved them!

Happy Valentine's Day!

(Sorry about the picture, I thought it was funny)!

Valentine's Hubby Tag
It's a Valentine's tag so I had to do it:

What is his name? Ryan Bastian

How long have you been married? 6 years

Who long did you date? Two years

How old is he? 32

Who eats more sweets? No brainer, me.

Who said I love you first? I did. He will tell you that he did, but I actually dared to say that specific phrase first.

Who is taller? He is

Who can sing better? We both can sing right on tune. Maybe it's all those years of playing an instrument.

Who is smarter? I usually wouldn't admit this, but Ryan is definitely smarter!

Who does the laundry? Its 50-50

Who pays the bills? I pay all the bills

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do...if your standing at the bottom of the bed.

Who mows the lawn? Ryan does, he also edges, rakes, fertilizes, etc.

Who cooks dinner? I do with the help of a little hand name helper. There is an exception of a few Ryan specialties.

Who drives? He does.

Who is more stubborn? I'm not stubborn...of course not.

Who kissed who first? uh, I don't remember. Is that terrible? I am sure he kissed me first ;) Actually, Ryan could probably tell you, he remembers some of the details better then I do.

Who asked out who first? hmm, we all got that story. I was pretty much after him.

Who proposed? He did. It was a really special moment. I bawled, then we woke everyone that we knew up so that we could tell them.

Who has more siblings? it's hard to top 9 kids in his family.

Who wears the pants? Honestly we share them.
Since it's short notice I don't dare to tag anyone. If you are willing to do it, I would love to hear about you.

Que "Brown Eyed Girl"

For some time now I have begun to wonder when this blasted winter was going to end. I totally have that syndrome that I talked about LAST YEAR during this time. The mood that depends on the weather. Ryan and I discussed it and our theory was proved yesterday when the sun shone brightly!
It was the MOST beautiful day! I took Pax to pre-school and then headed out to accomplish goals. I was so enthuzed in fact, that instead of going to get my oil changed, I went to Auto Zone and purchased the oil so that I can change it.
I love the sun.
We did decide that we would rather have the winter and our nice Summers then we would want HOT summers that you cannot function in, so we'll just have to figure out how to manage the winter darkness.
But today I am off to organize my house-all of it.
Wish me luck!

FOREVER!

I know it's been a long time. Not much has been happening. We have just been trying to get through this winter. I am not sure that is going to happen either. I am starting to think that winter might just last FOREVER!
We have still been hitting every park that we can. They are all vacant because it is so cold outside but the boys love it.
Gauge is getting such a personality on him. The last couple of months he has really started communicating with us. He points, gives us five, raises his hands and waves bye. He LOVEs the slides at the parks. It doesn't matter how steep or windy, he turns himself around onto his belly and pushes himself down with a huge smile. It cracks us up every time! Best of all, he smiles and cuddles and makes mom and daddy so happy!
Paxton is my Superhero! He has been in pre-school this last month and loving every minute of it. Its only a few times a week but he can't wait to go back and once we're there he is not at all sad to see me go. Its actually been really nice to have a few hours a week to myself. While Paxton is away Gauge has his nap and that makes for a really, REALLY happy mommy.
Ryan is finishing up on the car at school. Its so weird, he is building a CAR! They want to have it running within the next week or so and it has kept him pretty busy. He just keeps turning heads and impressing his team the more he does.
I had my first Fire QA meeting. That assignment that I applied for a few months ago. I think that it went alright. I think that we are going to be able to make some good changes between our two departments for the better and I really like the fire guys that were chosen to be the fire department liasons. I am still figuring out what my LT expects from me, but I think that he will see that I am going to do a good job. It actually felt really good to have somewhat of a homework project. Something expected of me and I had to work hard on and the due date was coming. I don't miss school, but it was nice to have something pressing that I was able to do my best on. I can't wait for the next QA, I am already stressing out about it. It feels good!

I hope you are all having a great February so far!
