Ryan

It's a little embarrassing posting this in a public place, but right now my heart is so full for you baby. I miss you so much. We barely see each other lately, passing as we "change shifts" so I am left to think about you and listen to sappy music while I am emotional and prego. So I need to tell you, since this is our family blog, so you'll never forget...
I love you. I love you so much that sometimes I am afraid that I will lose you because I love you too much!
I remember when I first met you. You answered the door and I was blown away. Eight years later you've helped me to become a woman, a mother and a wife. You make me laugh more then anyone ever has. I love to ride with you. To kiss you. To sleep next to you. To even change diapers next to you. Everything is better with you here.
The last few days while you have been putting over time at school I have realized that I am really not happy without you. I used to think that I was such an independent woman, that I didn't need anyone or any man and now I realize that I need just you, to be happy.
I hope that you realize all that you are. All that I find within you. You try so hard, to do more than your share. You have more talent in your little pinky finger then I have in my whole body. You have a spirit about you, your strong and you make me feel safe when I am with you. I can't even explain how lucky I feel to have found you and how sometimes I want to look behind me when you look at me and tell me how beautiful I am and how much you love me because I just can't believe that YOUR talking to me.
I am starting to cry now, my head is beginning to hurt as I try to hold back the tears so I better cut this short and get to bed.
Your still at school. Working hard at what you do best, being amazing with your skill and your wonderful ideas. No doubt they are inspired.
I can't wait to wake up next to you tomorrow. It's Sunday, your not allowed to work at BYU so you'll be mine. Until then, please know that I am yours forever. Thank you for choosing me and helping us to do it right, so that we could do it for Eternity. I don't want anything less when it comes to you! I love you so much Ryan. You are my best Friend! Thank you!

the Lake

This last weekend we had a chance to go to the lake. There was a little children's festival going on with crafts, games and free boat rides. I thought this would be something the boys would love so Ryan took us down to check it out.
(my camera ran out of batteries almost right when we got there)
We didn't end up riding on a boat, they were taking the little coast guard boat around the lake as a tour boat, but it was so packed with people and the line was so long we opted not to do it in the end. Paxton did however get to make a fish hat:they had free food and face painting and Ryan won our new family pet...FreddyPaxton was so excited to get this fish. He is pretty fond of him and although we tried to get Paxton to let him "swim free" before we even got home, I think we all kind of like Freddy. I have even caught Ryan checking him out and tapping on the glass a little bit when he thinks no one is looking. We have been trying to get some things finished at home. Last summer we started a lot of projects and there are a few that need to be finished. We are working on some Electrical and Ryan is always working on modifications, everywhere. They were able to drive his race car a bit this weekend too. They are getting so close to the competition. I was actually able to get him to fly down instead of taking the BYU band wagon down. Which is great because riding with everyone else he wasn't allowed to travel on Sunday and they were going a couple of days early. I just can't miss him for that long. All in all we had a pretty good weekend. It was really nice to get out and now that we have Freddy, I don't think our lives will ever be the same.

School's out for Summer!

Today was Paxton's last day of school. I can't believe he is already through! It was dress up day and Paxton wanted to go as a Cowboy. We found this an opportune time to get him his first pair of cowboy boots, which he LOVES!Thanks to Paxton's cousins he had a vest and belt to match. The kid looked like a real cowboy and had a blast at his party. He is such a hit at school. His teachers just love him. The preschool director Miss Helen absolutely adores him and I swear I saw her wipe a tear when he got into the car to leave. He gave her a big hug and told her goodbye. I don't think he has realized he isn't going back on Monday. With the end of school came his first class picture. I was so excited to see it. He got a report card which we appreciated, it showed us where he was and where he is now. It says that he has no problem doing things in front of the class, singing in front of everyone or making comments. I think that is a good thing. I wasn't that way at all, I was so shy in school. He must get that from Ryan.
Well Kiddo, you did a good job. We are so proud of you and we love your cute little sayings that you come home with like "Holy Cow, that's a vowel" and the clean up song you start singing whenever you clean up your room with me. You are so sweet with your friends and I know Hannah, one of your girlfriends, is really going to miss you. Your teacher said you guys did art, science and recess together every day. Your teachers love you and are so proud of you Paxton. Thanks for being such a hard little worker, and for being so sweet!
Good Job Paxton! We love you!

What a great day

Today was pretty random and ended up being...perfect. I took Paxton to school, and with Gauge in tow decided to stop in on Ryan at school. Ryan just happened to be finishing up with some things so we decided to get the heck out of there and go to lunch.
I can't even tell you people the last time Ryan and I went on a date. Its our fault really, we aren't really trusting with babysitters. Well, mostly me. That and we don't like to ask our friends to do it in place of a babysitter (most people have their own stuff to do). Anyway, this lunch was so great! We hit the Olive Garden, a nice change from Betos although definitely not a replacement.
Gauge fell asleep and Ryan and I had time to ourselves.
After lunch we took a power nap since Gauge was sleeping-
When we woke up we picked Paxton up from school and headed to the Creamery for Ice Cream. Paxton quickly ordered Chocolate. I don't even know how he knew there was chocolate (I never buy ice cream)
After Ice Cream we hit the park and played for... forever. The park was clear because it had been raining out and we chased each other, we slid down wet slides and got soaked. Gauged jumped through puddles. Paxton and Mom became Super Heroes and saved Gauge from Daddy. Daddy was put in jail (specifically because we don't kill people, that's wrong!)
I felt like I was on cloud nine.
Its been quite some time since we have all just thrown our responsibilities to the wind and just enjoyed each other.
We came home, the boys had a bath, ate happy meals and were put to bed.
I didn't have my camera, but wanted to remember this day so I had to post it although I did get the above picture of the boys in the tub.
It was just one of those days that make you feel blessed to have what you have. That's how I felt all day!
I love that summer is here. I love that I am pregnant. I love that I have a happy family. I love my family! I love my job. Most of all, I love my life. I am so happy!

What's Happening

I know it has been an incredibly long time since I have written an update about this family. I can't even begin to tell you how busy we have been.
First, Gauge is EVERYWHERE. The kid gets into everything, climbs on everything, he somehow knows where we wouldn't want him and that is where he goes. He even jumps when we come after him as though he knows he is in trouble already.
He is such a happy kid. He smiles and laughs, he says Hi while he waves. He gives us "knuckles or bones" he hates having his shoes on. His whole back is ticklish. He eats sticks, seriously-he finds them and eats them. He loves Elmo and also Woody from Toy Story. He is a really picky eater and his attention span is almost zero, but he makes us really happy!
Paxton is going to be our little actor. The kid is someone else all day long. He even likes to be Gauge these days, dressing up in baby clothes...He has a great imagination and is always playing with his toys, flying them and calling everything Super Hero something. He remembers everything that you say. He loves his little girlfriend at school Hannah and his favorite phrase right now is "Check this out!"
I have been busy mostly with work. I got a promotion that at work, is a pretty big deal. I became a Senior dispatcher. I have also been training new employees for the past two months which is why I am way behind on posts. I am only a few weeks pregnant, but I am still really tired. So far I have lucked out with morning sickness, please cross your fingers!!
Ryan has been extremely busy on his race car at BYU. They will be racing it in California within the next 3 weeks so it's crunch time and he spends most of his time at school these days. He will be working on the body of the car next and with his artistic ability I know its going to be beautiful!

That is it for now. I am way behind on blog reading...I used to do that in my free time at work so I will catch up and get back to you all. I hope your all well!!
