Shelby and more

It's been awhile since I have posted any pictures of Shelby. To be totally honest, I haven't had batteries in my camera so I don't have any. I do have this one that I love-Our sweet little angel!
Shelby is getting big. She is three weeks old now and at her two week appointment she weighed 8lbs 7ounces. She has grown quite a bit! She is still so sweet. She only cries when she is hungry and she loves to be held. She gets more beautiful every day and we cannot believe we have been so blessed!
We made another trip to Idaho this last week so that I could meet with Ada County again. We also got our FJ60 up there and had a chance to see Sarah this time. She made me so excited to move again! I can't wait to live closer to Dan and Sarah, we love them so much!
Not sure how my polygraph went. I can tell you that I did not lie, so I should have passed..right?! It was a gruelling 3 hour ordeal though where they interviewed me and had me tell them everything that I could think of about myself. I couldn't help but come out of the three hour interview feeling like the worst person in the world because that's what they were looking for...any dirt on me that they could find. There really wasn't a lot of bad, I am a pretty good person--I think. Ryan thinks so too!
I can't help but find myself thinking of work at Provo. I miss everyone there and whenever I hear the sirens from either police or fire going to a call I can't help but think of what is going on inside of dispatch. I miss everyone there so much. Its going to be hard to change jobs and be somewhere else. I read comments from some of the girls at work and I automatically tear up because I miss you all so much.
I feel so blessed to have been able to work at such a great place.
On top of that Ryan and I have felt the spirit so strongly in our lives as we have prepared for such a large change. Everything has come together for us and we really feel like we are doing the right thing in the eyes of the Lord. We might be gone by next weekend, we will see how the weather is. We have had a lot of people ask about renting our house which really seems to be a good option since the market is down.
Its been so wonderful having time with my family and having time to sleep and relax. I was pretty uptight when I was first home and not working, I would like to think I am a lot more relaxed now! Ryan has been there for me as I have adjusted to a new baby and to being home, he is so great!
We were able to see my parents this last weekend and my sisters too. Its going to be hard to leave them although my parents are toying with the idea of moving north too. I would really like that! Here are some pictures that I have taken around our house lately so that I will have them to look at later. I will give another update when we have more! We love you all!

Meet Abernathy

We got a dog. Meet Abernathy...we call her Abbey for short.
I have been searching for a long time for a new dog. I have wanted one for years but we had to get the right one. We had so many criteria that we wanted in a dog that it really seemed that we would never find one that could fit them all!
I have searched endlessly, on classifieds and at shelters every single night.
Then, this last week we got the OK from our new landlords to have a dog so we got even more serious about our search.
While I was searching the online classifieds Monday morning I found this pretty lady down in Cedar City. When I called on her they told me she was two years old, part Mastiff and who knows what else, she was found on the side of the road down in Cedar City...that's all they knew. I asked about whether or not she was potty trained to which they were sure that she was, they also advised that she had a great temperament-- so we took off on the three hour trip to find our new dog.
After 6 hours driving we got home and realized, this girl was a great dog. She was so well mannered! We already loved her! We did decide however that she must be a pit bull- lab mix. She is not a mastiff at all. We took her to the Vet yesterday and saw again what a great dog she is, I mean after less than 24 hours with her I trust her alone with our kids!! She is definitely potty trained and according to the vet she is three years old and he confirmed that she is defnitely a pit bull- lab mix. She is just beautiful. We feel so lucky to have found her!
Our first walk with Abbey. If you'll notice, no one walks together...that's just how our walks go these days!
Ryan and Abbey
The boys and Abbey
Paxton and Abbey Even Gauge is taking to her! We can't believe we found this dog! Since we have had her we have been outside hanging out with her every night! Paxton feels like he has his own dog and is outside every second he gets trying to brush her and take care of her. This is just one big change for us that we have been waiting for with this move to Idaho. We are so happy to have this dog! We love you Abbey!

Out on the town

Last Sunday we decided to hit the town-in Heber. We went to the Chicks Cafe for lunch, one of our favorite places!
The boys colored while they waited for their Sandwiches and were pretty good. It was nice to get out and this trip was something that we wanted to do before we took off.
After Chicks we went to the park in downtown Heber. No one had been there, there were no tracks so the boys had to blaze a path. Shelby and I hung out in the truck, but Ryan got out with the boys and they all played for some time!
Ryan makes faces at the boys and plays with them when he pushes them on the swings. He had some video of Gauger just cracking up while they were playing. Thank goodness he got a picture too!
This slide was HUGE!
That's the Gauger we know. He is so eager to laugh! I absolutely LOVE that smile!
I had to get some shots of the beautiful trip home. I even got a little teary eyed as we drove. I am going to miss this place!
This is Deer Creek totally iced over. There were tracks all over it and small holes from people ice fishing. It was beautiful!
After we went to Chicks and drove home we went to visit the Mobbs family. We wanted to make sure we saw them before we left. We just don't see them enough and they are some of our best friends! Thanks for letting us hang out with you for a bit Mobbs's! We will sure miss you guys!

Out in the snow

We just seem to keep getting snow. This week was nice with some warm spring type weather but up until today and yesterday the snow has come, and come. We took the boys into the backyard and hung out for a couple of hours the other day! Wow-nice to have some time!
This is just a picture I took in our back yard. Now that we will be leaving I can't help but snap a few shots here and there for my own sake. The closer we get to leaving, the more sentimental I feel.
Ryan decided to take the boys sledding and make a track with the sled and the boys. After he tired, it was my turn...
Look at the form, you would never know that I have barely moved in the last nine months!
The boys loved it. I think Gauge's eyes were covered for most of his time on the sled!
To be serious, it felt so good to run for a bit. I kept a good pace and my lungs burned with the nice clean air. I had that feeling of tiredness but kept getting a second wind. Its so nice to not be pregnant anymore. It felt good to move!
Gauge still has his eyes covered!
It was a great day! It was nice to have a day where we could get outside and be together for awhile! I can't wait for Spring!
Gauge tracks
My sweet boys! I got lucky catching this picture. Gauge isn't really candid with his love! These boys have really become best friends though- something that I have always wanted for the two of them.

Happy Valentine's Day!

For Valentine's I thought I would get the boys some treats to let them know how much I love them. I picked up a couple of bags and filled them with love hearts and chocolates. I put their names on them and left them out for the boys to find Valentine's day morning. My mom also sent the boys sweet Valentine's cards that they were really excited to open. Its not every day that you get mail-they were stoked!Valentine's day was great! The boys couldn't wait to open their presents from mom. I put little messages in thier packages. I told the boys how much I love them and it's none of your business what I told Ryan! :)
Paxton's chocolates had a message that said Bee my Valentine while Gauge had one with a train that said choo choo choose me. He is saying choo choo in this picture and pulling the horn!
A card from my mom. Thanks mom!
Later that night we ate a heart shaped pizza for the holiday and watched a movie together with popcorn. We had a blast. I hope you boys know how much I love you!!

Life with the new kid

Things are moving pretty slowly all of a sudden. Its been really nice to just relax with my family. Most of us are over the cold, or close except for Ryan. This cold has hit him hard-Shelby has still avoided it!
This sweet girl just sleeps and eats. She ONLY cries when she is hungry. What a blessing she is already! I feel like this little girl is my own little angel. I feel like she has taken care of me since I got pregnant. She is so beautiful and we feel so blessed to have such a sweet, healthy baby!
Gauge is such a cool kid. He says mommy and daddy now. He loves to hug us and he absolutely loves Paxton. He follows his big brother everywhere and does everything that he does. This morning they both barged into our room at the early hour of 9 and Paxton announced that he and Gauger had been to the moon and back that morning and with his arms in the air showed us that they had already changed out of their astronaut suits. Right next to him Gauge was waiving his arms the same way and announcing everything one second behind Paxon. He still loves Little Einsteins more than anything. He loves to run and to be outside and he doesn't eat much although he is way more independent these days. He tries to do everything himself! I LOVE getting hugs from this little boy. He yells Mommy! Then charges me with the biggest bear hug ever! Its my favorite!
Paxton has had to get used to not being in school. He does a pretty good job because he has such a great imagination. With Gauge by his side he becomes every super hero, every police man, every astronaut and even Daddy. That's the last person he has been pretending to be. With his wife Whitney and his daughter Shelby he comes in and out of each room introducing them to everywhere and going by "Ryan" not Paxton. He loves his Dad and loves to exercise although we don't get out much these days so he just runs around the house doing double punches and kicks in the air. I actually got body slammed by him the other day and when I asked him what the heck he was doing he said "mom, there isn't a baby in your belly anymore" so now I think I have to watch out!
Paxton and I decided to take a ride on the UTA bus yesterday for fun. Paxton hasn't been on the bus yet and had a blast. His grandpa drives the bus so we caught the one that Grandpa drives and headed around the city with him. Paxton had so many questions. He wanted to know everything about the bus, the people on the bus, everything my Dad was doing while driving. Grandpa finally said-Paxton, you ask a lot of questions and I thought to myself, that's right. That's why I brought him here so he can ask someone else some questions!
I didn't get a picture with my dad but we did get one of Paxton proudly riding the bus. After the ride Grandpa got off of work and took us home but before he did that he took us to some places around Provo that are of significance to me. The house where I grew up-way on the west side of Provo. We went on quite the ride while Grandpa told Paxton a little about me and my upbringing. I think Paxton was pretty bored but I really enjoyed spending a minute with my Dad. It doesn't happen anymore and I am going to miss that when I am in Idaho.
Ryan and I are just trying to finish things up here in Provo. I know I haven't said a lot of goodbye's yet. I am kind of avoiding it. That and we have been sick. I have my polygraph scheduled for next week. Wish me luck, I am pretty nervous and can't help but wonder if my nervousness might flunk me. My start date has moved because they couldn't do my polygraph until next week which is really nice for us. We don't have a target date yet but I'm sure we'll get that taken care of when I get to Idaho.
The boys are living in our back apartment. They call it their apartment and come to visit the neighbors all day long. They are really best friends and I love that they can play together like they do. They are being really good sports and being so patient while mom and dad take care of Shelby and packing. We are getting ready for Valentine's Day around here. Paxton got some batman valentine's that he has been filling out for some of his friends and the boys got heart attacked by Ryan and me. We plastered them with hearts everywhere! Gauge wasn't sure what he thought of the whole deal, he is such a boy! Paxton ate it up though and proudly displayed his hearts!Things are good here. We are excited for the near future but its been so nice to have some time. We hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's day!
