I know it's been a long time. Not much has been happening. We have just been trying to get through this winter. I am not sure that is going to happen either. I am starting to think that winter might just last FOREVER!
We have still been hitting every park that we can. They are all vacant because it is so cold outside but the boys love it.
Gauge is getting such a personality on him. The last couple of months he has really started communicating with us. He points, gives us five, raises his hands and waves bye. He LOVEs the slides at the parks. It doesn't matter how steep or windy, he turns himself around onto his belly and pushes himself down with a huge smile. It cracks us up every time! Best of all, he smiles and cuddles and makes mom and daddy so happy!
Paxton is my Superhero! He has been in pre-school this last month and loving every minute of it. Its only a few times a week but he can't wait to go back and once we're there he is not at all sad to see me go. Its actually been really nice to have a few hours a week to myself. While Paxton is away Gauge has his nap and that makes for a really, REALLY happy mommy.
Ryan is finishing up on the car at school. Its so weird, he is building a CAR! They want to have it running within the next week or so and it has kept him pretty busy. He just keeps turning heads and impressing his team the more he does.
I had my first Fire QA meeting. That assignment that I applied for a few months ago. I think that it went alright. I think that we are going to be able to make some good changes between our two departments for the better and I really like the fire guys that were chosen to be the fire department liasons. I am still figuring out what my LT expects from me, but I think that he will see that I am going to do a good job. It actually felt really good to have somewhat of a homework project. Something expected of me and I had to work hard on and the due date was coming. I don't miss school, but it was nice to have something pressing that I was able to do my best on. I can't wait for the next QA, I am already stressing out about it. It feels good!
I hope you are all having a great February so far!

I know what you mean about the stressing about next months as soon as this months is over. It took me a while for that to go away. If you need me to do anything to help I will. Also, just so you know, when I went to the county EMS thing the other night, Lt. and I were talking about the QA programs and he said you did an outstanding job. So, go Whitney!
Oh, how I have missed you! I didn't know Paxton was in Pre-School, where does he go? I need to start looking for Cache...he'll need to go pretty soon. Glad to hear that Ryan's car project is going so well and that your Q&A went great! I'm sure you'll do awesome. I say this every time I comment, but lets try to get together soon!
I love it when you update. Your family is so stinkin' cute! and YAY for new work projects! I get stressed out when i get one, but it's so nice to feel like you're contributing and all that stuff! Good luck!!
Thanks for the update, and I am sure you are doing an excellent job at work. They LOVE you over there! The boys are cute, as always, and I'm glad you are trying to enjoy the snow, even though you are ready to be porch monkeys!
Ya, I agree this winter feels like it really will never end! That's so nice that Paxton is in pre-school now and you get a little bit of "mommy" time. Way to go on your new work assignment. Your boys are just too cute. And that really is so awesome that Ryan is building a car! That looks like a fun race that you went to last summer.
It was good to see you for a moment today. I was going to walk over and say hello but once I got the boys in the car you had already disappeared.
Nice job on your work project! Good luck with the next ones...you will knock there socks off. You are amazing! Nice pictures! I love the scenery shots...I am starting to get into them, but don't want to bore people! Hope all is well...we miss you guys!
