They love their Dad!

Four nights a week I work. Right now my shift is weekend graveyards. Because this is the case, Ryan is tasked with the job of having to put the boys to bed every night by himself.
On the nights that I am home I feel like I am kind of a fly on the wall. It is my most favorite thing, to watch them get ready for bed. Its like I have been allowed to sneak a peak into the boys world and I feel so blessed to be able to watch it and get a peek into their time together.
--------------------------------
they play hide and seek
Paxton has to check the toy box and his room before he will "find" Daddy They walk on the ceilingThey get thrown up to the ceiling and caughtThey wrestle with their Dad. I didn't get a picture but its really cute to watch Gauge walk up to Paxton and Ryan wrestling and he just lays right on top of them with no fear. Then, they get thrown. This must be quite an exercise for Ryan because they take turns. They run in for the tackle and he grabs them and throws them onto the couchoverand over again
After the rough housing Ryan brushes teeth and then reads to them. The very last thing they do is get on Paxton's bed. Gauge climbs the ladder onto Paxton's bed and they play for one last minute. After all of this is completed, Ryan and Paxton say a prayer and then they go down to bed. Tired and happy boys. I love that my boys get this time with their Dad. It would be a tragedy if they didn't get time with him to play with him and to love him. He is so wonderful!! Thanks baby!

Whitters! Whoa wait, can I call you that? How great that they get to spend some time with Ryan before bed. I LOVE the walking on the ceiling trick, may just have to show that to Cody. Just last night I was watching Cody lay next to Cole on the floor while Cache was climbing all over him. Dad time is a must! PS - still so sad we can't go to Moab with you guys...Cody's been working on his jeep, so maybe you'll just have to go down twice this year! Oh and uh, hey - we should hang out sometime.

How great it is to have daddys!! Seeing these makes me so excited that Doug is getting a son. You two are great examples of fantastic parents. You truly are both so cool!

I just realized that Ryan is really looking like a giant thanks to that really low ceiling!!! Thought you had us fooled didn't you? If Jewels tells Cody to try that trick he will go thinking that Ryan is 6' 10" tall.

Your boys make me want to have kids. That is not an easy thing to do!

It warms my heart when I read about your sweet little family! Those little boys and you to Whit have one great man in your lives. I'm so proud of you Ryan for being such a hands on daddy and loving your little boys. I'm proud of ya'all for playing with your kids and just enjoying them for it is a very hard task to be a parent and finding energy to keep up with them. Thank you for letting us have a glimsp into you little bit of heaven-love you guys!

It's so fun to watch our husbands become dads. There is something about watching your child/ children with their dad. Thanks for sharing that with us! Love you girl.
