Families are Forever

This weekend we were able to be a part of a very special time for my brother. Chris and Karli were able to be sealed to their beautiful daughter Kaiya. They were also given legal custody of her. Saturday morning we attended the Temple ceremony for the sealing and were able to witness one of most beautiful things I have ever seen. I watched my brother hold hands with his wife and daughter together and I couldn't help but think of Ryan, Paxton Gauge and whatever little spirits will join us in the future.
We all shed tears for joy but I was so overwhelmed with the spirit as I sat there. I was over come. I can't explain how happy I am for them. To hear about his being sealed to his family for time and all eternity and knowing that Ryan and I are sealed to each other and to our boys for eternity is the best gift that I could ever know. I don't believe there is anything better out there. I have never blogged my testimony. After the experience that I had this weekend at the temple, I may need to say a few words. When I left the sealing room and was walking away with my hand in Ryan's I wept. Actually I bawled. I turned around and watched my Mom come out behind me and remembered that this plan is so perfect. I know that there is a God. How wonderful is that? I know that He knows me. That He knows what makes me happy and that He has enabled me to be with my family forever. I am so thankful for all that I have. I am so endebted to the Lord. I love Him so much! Thank you Chris and Karli for letting me be a part of your special experience, and for letting me remember how special my little family is as well.

Thanks so much for being there with us, Whit. It meant a lot to us to have you and Ryan be apart of things. I too was reminded in a very big way about how lucky and blessed we are to have eternal families and such a perfect plan from our Father in Heaven. It was so good to see you guys. We love you!

Your posts are always so in tune - it was something I needed to hear. My friend (who is not a member) just lost her newborn baby and I'm headed out to California for the funeral tomorrow. When she told me over the phone, we both wept. I can't imagine the pain she is experiencing. Her husband is a member, but is not active. She used to go to Church with him all the time and knows that it's true, so hopefully the Gospel can give them some comfort. Reading your post made me feel so grateful for the opportunity we have to be with our families forever. What an incredible gift! Thank you so much for opening your heart.

I'm right there with you girl. How blessed I am to have the gospel in my life. I don't know where I would be without it. I know that everything good in my life is because of this amazing gospel. Thanks for sharing:)
