I know its been a long time. I have gotten so far behind that I didn't know how to catch up, let me try:
This is all in the order that it happened, two weeks ago. Ryan has now finished his races in Fontana, California and is back, I will post those pictures next. He had the camera the whole time so I only have the pictures that I took before he left.
-------------------------
The carnival was in town. I knew my batteries were almost dead on the camera and for some reason, didn't bring new ones. We got this picture of Paxton and myself on the ferris wheel which he absolutely loved! We also got some pictures on the phone but I can't figure out how to up load them.
It was both Paxton and Gauge's first time at the carnival riding rides. Paxton wanted to go on the ferris wheel the most and had so much fun, he kept telling me he could see the whole city and had perma grin. I was so happy just to ride with him.
The next day Ryan had taken his frame for the race car to get powder coated. In order to do this the team had to strip the whole car down, take everything off of the car and get it put back together within a day for their media release deadline. They had set up time where the media could come watch the car run, ask questions and take pictures. When Ryan brought back the car Paxton was so impressed with his daddy's race car that he had to go with him to the shop and hang out with him a bit.
Ryan was pretty much at the shop this whole entire week, day and night. Thank goodness I had to work some of those days otherwise he wouldn't have come home and slept. Below is the mold for the body of the car prior to fiber glass. This picture is the nose of the car.

The next morning after the powder coat was the media showing. Ryan and some of the team spent the whole entire night in the shop putting the car back together for show. (Thanks Sid and Leslie for watching the boys for us)
Showing off their car to the world! Not quite finished, the body isn't painted yet and this day even though the car was totally put back together in way short time after the powder coat, the car wouldn't start. The whole team standing there had been up most the night (some all night) and threw on their polo's for the media release the next day a little bummed because they couldn't really show off what they really had. After the show they found that there was one small little wire out of place that kept them from showing off the car and its capability.
So many of our family came to the presentation. Sid and his family, Elliott came really excited to see everything and to talk to the professor. All of the kids got a chance to sit in the car, Wade even got interviewed...

After staying up all day and night getting the body finished the car was packed up and driven to Fontana, California.
Aside from the car, we have been swimming in our back yard just about every day. The boys love it and with the temperatures so hot these days, we need it!
Ryan's sister Katherine and her kids were also in town this week from Italy. We got to hang out with them for a couple of nights in between Ryan's hectic schedule. I only got to hang out one night due to work and didn't get too many pictures. I did get all of the cousins jumping on the trampoline however. The oldest Trevor being 15 and all of them still treated Paxton like he was just as old as them, letting him jump with them and hang out the whole time. He LOVES his cousins. He wants to go to their house EVERY DAY! We had a campfire and hung out until pretty late. Poor Katherine, she was still on Rome time and by 11pm it was supposed to be like 6am for her. They were all pretty tired. It was so nice to finally see them. We definitely don't get to see them as often as we would like. Ryan loves Kath so much and really enjoyed his time with her.The next night when I was not there Ryan ended up chasing Gauge pretty much everywhere. He said Katherine just walked right along with him and hung out with him while he babysat so that they could be together. It meant a lot to him to have that time and to get to see them. Trevor Brendan and Natalie have grown up so much too. I think Natalie was 4 when I last saw her. We are so proud of them. They are so smart and talented, it was so easy to hang out and talk to them. Well, for Ryan. I have real problems figuring out what to say to them...what do you say to teenagers? I just don't know. Ryan does though and got to know them a little bit again.
Thanks for coming Katherine! Hopefully we will see you guys again before you take off.
That is all that we have really been up to. I will post Ryan's pictures from Fontana next.

K, the professor in the picture... Is his last name Todd? That is so crazy! sounds like it was fun. It's always fun to see family when you haven't seen them for a while. I'm looking forward to seeing you, because I haven't see you forever!
