In the post below I was able to hang out with my girlfriends. Well, to explain the same clothing...that night was the 3rd of July. At about 4:30 that same night Ryan and I realized that whatever we were going to do tonight was it for us, because I worked all day on the 4th. With that said we quickly looked up what was going on in Park City. That's where we usually celebrate the 4th now when I don't work.
As hoped, the Canyon's was throwing a fire works show and the morning of the 4th they were having a small parade. By 5:30 we were on the road ready to celebrate our Holiday. We didn't pack anything. We took the clothes on our backs, I found an AWESOME deal on a last minute hotel room right down town and we took off. When we got to Park City we ate, got situated at the hotel and let the boys play around. After it started to get close to dark we headed to the Canyons where they take you up on the tram for live music and the fireworks show.
The picture above is a view of the Canyon's at dusk while we were on the tramHere we are on the tram. That thing goes fast, it was Awesome! Paxton kept yelling that he was flying. Here is a picture to show you how many people were up there, it was packed. Tons of people camped out on blankets for the show We quickly found a spot up at the top and hunkered down. We must have taken 40-50 pictures of fireworks and none of them turned out very well but the show was pretty cool. I just love watching fireworks while listening to patriotic music!!By the time we got back down on the tram and out of the completely packed parking lot it was pretty late. By the time we got back to the hotel and Gauge finally went to sleep because he was so pumped up from being there, it was 1 am. Needless to say they were pretty tired for the parade the next morning.

Exhibit A
Exhibit B
In Provo at the Grand parade they send jets to fly over at the very beginning. They do it at the Stadium of Fire too. The same jets flew over at this tiny parade and were way low!! It was pretty cool! Some cool and weird stuff at the parade:
A camel
Mariachi band
Carnies (they smelled like cabage)
Bob sled floats
Floats with actual snow on them and skiers being pulled behind and skiing down the road
A lot of classic Corvette's
I'm pretty sure he is doing a "number 1" here, not a "loser"
Some funny differences between Park City and Provo that are pretty obvious...They also had little Hockey players instead of cheerleaders which I thought was pretty cool.At the end of the parade we were tuckered out! The boys scored some kazoos last minute and we headed home Even though we didn't really get to celebrate on the 4th, we had a great time. There is just nothing better than this Holiday. My friend Lindsay was saying that this holiday ties with Christmas and I have to agree. I love this Country so much and I appreciate all those who have sacrificed so that we can have the freedoms and luxuries that we enjoy.
I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday!!

Carnies DO smell like cabbage! Small hands...I'm glad you guys got to get out and do something fun! I also LOVE the 4th - it's such a fun Holiday. Maybe one year we'll go to Park City...
How are you feeling? We need to hang out...come up at see me at Thrillionaires sometime!
Thanks for the post, I thought you were celebrating St. Patties with that shirt you kept wearing over and over, but your post cleared it all up for me. I'm not so concerned anymore.
That is so coo you just up and did that. Way to go. That is what makes you such a fun wife and mom! Sounds like it was a blast!
Way to be so spontaneous! It looks like you guys had a great time, love the pictures of the boys and the Kazoo's.Looks like the parade had some weird characters in it.
