Birthdays

Ryan and my birthdays are only 3 days apart which means that when we celebrate, we get to celebrate for both of us, twice. Its kind of nice.
For my birthday this year my sister in law Sarah gave me the best present ever...
she babysat :)
After a 10 hr day at work she came to our house to watch the kids (what a woman). So, Ryan and I planned a date. He pulled out the mustang and I selected a destination.
Now this sounds cheesy, but I have found a house in the area that I have dubbed my dream house. Its a new house that no one lives in and this was where I wanted to spend my birthday. So we went for a drive out to this house and we sat on the porch and talked.
I loved every minute of it!

After we sat and talked, we went for a drive and watched the sun go down.
I absolutely LOVE IT HERE!
When we got home it was getting a little late so it was time to move onto the cake. I am not big on making a huge cake for myself-especially since we are going to have cake for Ryan in three days- so this cake was perfect for me. I made my wish-believe me it counted and
the boys helped me blow out my candles
I have to be honest, I was pretty depressed this year turning 29. Its hard to realize that your just about out of your 20s but Ryan helped me open my eyes and see what I have.
I live in probably my favorite place in the world
I am married to the man of my dreams and
I have the most beautiful, healthy, happy children.
I have a blessed life and I am so happy to be where I am.
although, 29 is still depressing... :)
Sunday May 3rd is Ryan's birthday. The boys and I got up early and got cooking. They were so excited to make daddy a birthday cake
and cupcakes. We had a plan for a party that night with Dan and Sarah
I think we did a pretty good job and Ryan was really impressed with our baking skills.
After church we didn't end up having a party. Turns out that turning 30 something is a little depressing too. So we had our party on Monday night with Dan and Sarah. They came over and gave us gifts, played with the kids and they sang Happy birthday to Ryan and myself with the boys. then it was Paxton's turn to give Daddy a gift. He wrapped it himself in a lunch bag
and waited FOREVER to give it to him...It was his gun, with special instructions to be careful and only shoot the bad guys
Gauge is singing to his dad here
We had a great birthday weekend!
Happy Birthday Ryan! I want you to know not only how proud we are of you and all that you do, but we appreciate all that you do. I am so in love with you and am so happy that I get to grow old with you...I even mean that literally.
We love you so much!
