My boys.
I haven't done a my boys post in forever. Let me tell you what they are up to.
When they aren't wrestling or playing outside with the puppies, they are doing whatever they can to make us laugh.
Gauger is one of the funniest kids I have ever met. He can make anything funny!
He absolutely loves Rocket (from little Einsteins) and carries him everywhere. He love his big brother Paxton and is seen copying his every word and sometimes his every action. He is even beginning to like batman and spider man because he is exposed to so much of it from his brother.
If there is something that you do not want Gauge to get into, he will get into it. Its almost like Murphy's law. He is in excellent shape and can pull himself up onto anything, drop off of anything and crawl into anything
He is talking like crazy now and most people will realize when they have been around him more often that they really can understand what he is saying...he is really talking. My favorite's are still I love you and mommy. He says Mommy with so much enthusiasm that when I hear it, he melts my heart!

Gauge love books, he loves his daddy, and he adores Shelby. We find him trying to make her smile and the two of them laughing together all the time. He will do anything to start a game with you. All I have to do is tell him to give me a hug or a kiss and he turns around running the other way so that you will have to chase him.
We are trying to get him accustomed to the potty. He is showing some interest, but I think mostly just to play around. He hasn't really been wanting to do it on his own yet so we thought we would try a new trick
reading material
Hey, he's sitting right? His wife will hate me for it one day, but I don't think she will really be able to complain if it works!
This kid is so in love with Spider man its almost nuts! He caught the tail end of the real spider-man movie once and he did pretty well watching it. He didn't get scared and he actually got pretty excited when he got to see the sand man, the black spider man, spider man and the green goblin...does it get any better than that?
He was so taken with the black spider man in the movie and with Peter Parker turning into the black spider man that for a while he started trying to dress like him and do his hair the same way. This is Paxton doing his slicked down hair do
Just to demonstrate...its not like this so much
but more like this. You have to have a part and you have to slick it all down forward
and last but not least, you have to be called Peter Parker. He gets very serious with his roles which makes me think that he will be in drama when he gets older. He takes on the whole persona. He does the poses, he pretends to climb up the walls, he has me call him Peter and he calls me Aunt Mae.Whenever we have company he takes the visitor into his room to show them his spider man costume hanging up in his closet...just like Peter Parker hangs his suit in HIS closet
and that's Paxton these days. Its all day long. He gets dressed up in costume so that he can save the day and two minutes later he is back in his street clothes. He does it all day long.
He is learning how to work hard. Ryan has him picking up after the dogs every week. When we first introduced the chore to him he complained a lot. I heard, "mom, I am soooo tired!" or "My back hurts, I need to rest" after only a few minutes of work. Now he stays out there without complaint as long as it takes him to pick up after all three pups. He is a good brother! He is always looking out for Gauge and he has a really cute face that he makes at Shelby to make her laugh. Sometimes he can get her rolling.they are really good boys-we are lucky to have them!We love you two!
