Partners in Pain

One of the perks of having a brothers birthday right next to yours is that your Dr visits are due at the same time. Mr 3 year old and Mr 5 year old were due...and it was time.
As you can see they weren't very excited. They knew shots were in order. I did however convince them that even if they had to have shots, that shots were well worth the Ice cream cone that we would have when we got home.
We did get out stats, which Ryan and I are always excited about:
Paxton is in the 98th percentile for heighth and the 75th percentile for weight. His father was proud!
Gauge was in the 50th percentile for heighth at 3 years old and 75th percentil for weight.
Uh Gauge, we are proud. Just grow a little buddy will ya?!
Gauge didn't need shots. He had the flue nasal thing that they do. Shelby and Pax had shots though. Poor Paxton had his MMR and his Flu, Shelby had to have a flu booster...It was difficult!
There is just no explaining how hard it is to hold your child while they scream in pain about something that you paid to have done. But it's good for them right?!!
It sure better be!
I am telling you, If we get the flu this year, I am going to be mad!
To make the kids feel better we decided to find a new park.
This park was somewhere in Eagle, ID. It was way cool
Some nearby school was having a field trip here and there were kids everywhere so Paxton made a few new friends his age. We let them run around for a long time
They climbed rocks and were kings of the Mountain
They climbed more rocks
phew, I got a picture of them doing something else!
Paxton's arm hurt the whole day. I told him to move it all day so that it would hurt less. To be honest, I have no idea if that works but I remember my Mom telling me to do that when I would get shots. Does anyone know if that's right?
I think the kids arm hurt more from moving it and from being tired than the shots ever hurt him!!
Either way, he was really tough and Mom was really proud of him!
When we got home we had Extra big ice cream cones...especially Paxton, since he had to have the shotsThanks for being so brave Paxton! No more shots for at least a year, I promise!!
