Well, the time has come and now Ryan is back at work doing the slinger grind. He is working at Slalt Lake Valley Slingers again. They have been kind enough to work around his school schedule for the last 3-4 years and are always happy to have him return. For those of you who don't know what a slinger is, I have a few pictures for you...
Above is a picture of a slinger truck. Although I am not a pro at what they are or what they do, I do know that they are basically a new form of technology in the construction business. The trucks are kind of similar to dump trucks but not really. They have a boom that comes out and with a remote control you can actually shoot the dirt or whatever is being used, pebble rock, top soil etc and you can lay it down instead of what a dump truck does, dumping it into a huge pile on the site. Its used a lot in foundation work. The slingers come in and spread the rock before the foundation is layed. Ryan can actually drive his truck with this remote control and when they are out on sites working, people come out and watch them all of the time because it is so different. Here are some pictures of Ryan out slingin'
In this picture above he is using his remote control on the truck behind him, but if you look closely you can see that another truck is slinging dirt right in front of him
My Hot husband on the back of his truck.
It is already hard for me to have him back to work. I know that sounds really lame because everyone's husbands work, but I realized today how much I am really never going to see him. I got off of my shift at 5am this morning and he left by 5:30am, he got back today at 6:30 and I left at 7pm. I am not a happy camper!! Sorry to vent but as happy as I am for him that he is out of the house and will be in the sun and has a break from school...it stinks.

I totally know how you feel. Cody is gone so much and although I'm trying to be supportive because he loves what he does, I hate that he's gone all the time! I'm sorry that you and Ryan don't see much of each other, that's always so hard. Hopefully down the road things will change so that you will get to spend more time together!
