This year the guys were finally able to pull off a motorcycle trip. Its been about three years since the last one and this one was needed by all. This was a five day trip and over 2000 miles were covered in that time. Pretty amazing! They met in Nampa, IDPaxton and I were pretty excited to be there for take off! Paxton ran after his Dad to say goodbye Heading out of Idaho on their way to Prineville, ORCamping for the night. That's Ryan in the blue. I really hoped to have more pictures for you. I ended up stealing the few we have circulating because Ryan didn't have the camera, I had it in Idaho.
Getting up and ready.
Night two was in McMinnville, OR The guys arrived there early and were able to hang out where JPs father has a home. They saw the Spruce Goose while they were there. Its a plane that is bigger than a football field.
Some things to remember from McMinnville: Ryan walked right through a screen door, lots of laughs were had by all and a lot of hanging out!
After McMinnville they headed for the coast beginning at Lincoln City and down towards Gold Beach.
Everyday began with a cold ride to the nearest diner. Heading down the coast consisted of whale watching and salt water taffy at Depot Bay, OR
clam chowder in Newport, OR
and various scenic rests on the way to Gold Beach.
At Gold Beach the crew turned inland to Agnes, OR where they stopped and camped. This is where they were rained on and saw a bear cross the road in front of them.
Ryan cleverly slept in between everyone after the bear sighting and was able to slip a bear size portion of salt water taffy into Aaron's bag, just in case.
Medford was the next stop. There they visited Tom's Bronco parts...yeah!
Tom gave them the tour and was really cool. He even gave the guys some bronco paraphernalia.
After Medford the ride took everyone to Lakeview, OR where they all split. Dan and JP headed to Boise and Ryan, Aaron and Wolf headed for Utah
Ryan spent his last night with Aaron and Wolf just outside of Adel, OR. The next day Ryan took off by himself to get home to his family. It was 80+ miles an hour on the Speed Triple.
Even though the trip was five days, it wasn't long enough... yet it was somehow too long (for me). I cried when he got home because I missed him so much.
It was a good way to wrap up the summer and the guys are already planning their next ride!
