Best Buds
I found this little picture in the backyard the other day. They have the whole yard and they play together in the wagon, it made me smile.
Later I found them both in the toy box, all of the toys had been removed...
I think they are becoming pretty good friends!

Every young boys mom should have this:
I am sorry to be posting about toilets, but I have to introduce something to you.
Ryan and I were talking one night about how great it would be if there were something out there that basically turned your toilet into a urinal for a small boy.
After cleaning up the walls and the floor enough times, we searched for one and Ryan found one...
I give you the "Potty Shield"
(that isn't Paxton pictured)
I just thought you should all know.
Thanks Ryan!! Thank you so much!!!

Got Turbo?
Ryan's FSAE team decided that the car wasn't fast enough, so this is what Ryan has been working on: I'm still not sure what it does, but I do think it's pretty!

The great outdoors
The weather has been wonderful. We have been thinking about going camping and trying to decide when to go. We decided that last weekend was the time. Packed up our gear and headed out into the great outdoors...
Also known as the back yard?
Paxton was so excited when I set up the tent at approx 5:30pm that he immediately went inside and put on his PJs. When we wouldn't let him go straight to bed he decided that it was also time to be a cowboy since, you know, we're roughing it.
We got out the chairs and our mini marshmallows
and we hung out until late. We let the boys play until they couldn't play anymore
they played soccer jumped on the trampoline

Spring program
Well, Paxton is pretty much done with school. He has been going for the last semester and he absolutely loves it. We weren't sure what we thought of school at such a young age or whether or not (besides socially) he would benefit at such a young age, but they proved us wrong. He says the ABC's all day long, he spells his own name and ours, he spells every word that he sees, he counts, he comes up with cute little phrases that he will randomly say like "Holy cow, that's a vowel!" Which obviously he learned at school, he has made a lot of friends and he can almost write his name.
Today we went to his 3 year old class Spring Program.
I was the Most proud mother there!
This video below I barely caught him about to introduce himself. This is where I realized what a total ham he is in class. Everyone says their names and sits down. My boys does the

Feeling like Spring
The other night we were outside and Ry was setting the sprinkler. Gauge decided he wanted to figure out what was going on and headed right into the water. That's when I decided to strip them down and let them play. Gauge is such a boy. He throws caution to the wind and does whatever he wants. He can be hurt and we'd never know it, he sucks it up and moves on. Paxton is our...more cautious child. He is very concerned about the possibility of injuries or in this case, being cold. It took Gauge running straight for the front of the line for Paxton to run in. The good thing about the difference between the two is that Paxton totally watches over Gauge. He leads him away from danger and makes sure that he is always okay.
The other day I looked in the back seat and witnessed Gauge look over at Paxton and just smile. When I looked at Pax he was smiling back and he grabbed Gauge's hand. They just sat there smiling and holding hands.
I love that they are building this bond and getting to depend on each other like they are. This last picture of Paxton in his little undies, he is posing as spider man. We pretty much can't get a picture without this pose. Pretty soon Spiderman is going to have to come up with a new trademark pose because this one is pretty much Paxton's!

Similar but different
First we have Paxton. This kid absolutely loves to dress up. He is upset with us if we don't let him dress up. If you'll remember the singlet we showed earlier, well, Paxton also inherited some old Halloween costumes...much to our detriment. The ones that I am referring to are a horse and a lion. Now the horse fits Paxton and Gauge is about the right size for the lion.
Paxton, being the kid he is, wanted to dress up as the horse the other day. I thought it would be cute to let Gauge play along and I put him into the lion costume.
Paxton...Loved it!
He got right into character, he knew just what to do. He was no longer Paxton, he was the horse! Gauge on the other hand, was horrified! He could not believe that I would put him into a costume like this...He was so upset with me that he went to the corner and put himself into time out!Poor kid...So similar, but so different!
You won't even believe...
Now first let me explain. I know that it appears we are purchasing a lot of toys lately. We like to think of them as investments. Besides, we had a pretty good tax season. We weren't even going to share this one, but we have found ourselves to be so excited...we had to share. It all started when we almost purchased Ryan's mother's FJ40 last summer. We drove it for quite some time and realized that we really liked these babies. I also seem to have a thing for Toyota Landcruisers. Why not, Ryan has 3 Ford's!! The only rules for this one is that Ryan can't fiddle with it. It stays as it is and we both love it.
Here's to our new 40, not to out do our 60 and 80, but its a welcomed addition. You don't need to say it. After today we realize we may have a problem.

Ryan's birthday
Happy Birthday Ryan! For Ryan's birthday he wanted to take us out riding. I don't get it either. He didn't even bring his bike. He watched Gauge, ran along side of Paxton and gave me pointers. We headed out to Saratoga Springs and rode for a couple of hours.
This video below is a shot Ryan took yesterday that he absolutely loves, so I thought I would post it here.
Here are some pictures from today...Thanks Ryan. We love you!
