Feeling like Spring

The other night we were outside and Ry was setting the sprinkler. Gauge decided he wanted to figure out what was going on and headed right into the water. That's when I decided to strip them down and let them play. Gauge is such a boy. He throws caution to the wind and does whatever he wants. He can be hurt and we'd never know it, he sucks it up and moves on. Paxton is our...more cautious child. He is very concerned about the possibility of injuries or in this case, being cold. It took Gauge running straight for the front of the line for Paxton to run in. The good thing about the difference between the two is that Paxton totally watches over Gauge. He leads him away from danger and makes sure that he is always okay.
The other day I looked in the back seat and witnessed Gauge look over at Paxton and just smile. When I looked at Pax he was smiling back and he grabbed Gauge's hand. They just sat there smiling and holding hands.
I love that they are building this bond and getting to depend on each other like they are. This last picture of Paxton in his little undies, he is posing as spider man. We pretty much can't get a picture without this pose. Pretty soon Spiderman is going to have to come up with a new trademark pose because this one is pretty much Paxton's!

How funny! It's interesting though how Calvin is like Paxton; cautious, protective big brother type and Gauge and Oliver are the risk takers! I love how very different they are but so alike all at the same time! Doesn't it make you wonder what the third would be like?

It's truly spring when you can strip to aaronics & relish the sprinklers.
I love those heartmelting "Mother Mercies," those moments where you see your children in all their goodness and glimpse their potential. Sweet boys you have!

SOOOOOO funny! Molly is totally a Paxton personality, but I'm sure more scarred. Which is supposed to be a total 1st child thing. It will be so funny to see if this little one will be like Gauge who sounds like the 2nd child personality. I just hope my girls are as cute with each-other as your boys are! What a fun mom to strip them down and let them go. Way to go with the moment:)
