Are you kidding me?!
Like having a girl isn't exciting enough!
I really didn't think that I wanted to have a girl (well, not yet anyway). I was sure I was going to have a boy, almost positive, because that's what we have, we have boys, we are a boy family! Ryan and I sat there at the Ultra Sound and the woman said that it was a girl and she would double check at the end of the ultra sound to verify. I really thought nothing of it, like as soon as she would double check she would see clearly that it was a boy.
She finished the ultra sound and was filling out a screen. Underneath gender she typed in Girl. I looked at Ryan like "WHAT?!" That's when we both realized...that was it! It was a girl!
I started to cry a little bit, overwhelmed, excited and scared all at once. I couldn't believe it! So many emotions hit right then, and they keep hitting us now, all of the time!
We are both so scared and so excited! It feels like we are having our first child! Since then I have started to get the hang of thinking "girly" and I am loving every minute of it.
I can't wait for Shelby to get here!

Before you know it Shelby will be ordering clothes all by herself on the internet. We are excited that you've caught pink fever!
thanks for the invite! sooo excited for you to have a girl. and i love that her middle name will be ryan.
I can't wait to go shopping....dresses, sandals, sunglasses, swim suits, capri's, shorts! Oh, wow the things she will need.
I don't blame you. Look how adorable that cableknit dress is?? Um, won't that be cute with spit up all over it?? Cute clothes and then the little ones go and ruin it, or it is ruined by putting a bib on it. So fun to have a girl, though. Hey, I would love to see your blog book. I am thinking of doing that for Douglas?
