Oh no, SNOW!

It's been raining for two days straight. Cold rain that could be followed by snow at any moment. Paxton has been filled with excitement asking every time he thinks of it, if it has snowed yet or not.
This morning when we opened the blinds and saw white, there was no way I could avoid letting him put on all of his snow gear. It didn't snow a whole lot in the valley, in fact it may be melted by now. Paxton was excited anyway.
So Paxton put on his gear, and I helped Gauge put on his. My experience turned out to be a little bit like this...
I am starting to worry about how much we are going to have to go through this routine this winter. Gauge was not at all pleased and then when he got outside, he slipped and fell face first onto the grass which allowed his hand to touch the cold, wet, white substance. Screams could be heard throughout the neighborhood!
I ran and helped him up, snapped some shots of the two playing a little and got the heck out of there. I thought it would be best to let them experience the snow for themselves.Paxton was in heaven! When I got inside I waited about 5 minutes. Paxton was on his way in. I asked him where Gauge was and he said, come look mom. I walked out to the driveway to see Gauge sitting on his knees crying.
Not a good sign on the first day of snow. I helped him up and we came inside. I am starting to get a little worried about the fact that winter is here. I think its going to be a long one!!

How fun that they get to play in snow.....well fun for them. I personally hate snow, it is wet and cold I think that I would have been joining Gauge out front.

It was a brisk 64 today after our couple of rainy days. I know our boys would love to be playing with yours in the snow.

That "Christmas story" photo always makes me laugh. I'd bundle up Ryan when he was a wee boy the same way to go out into the snow...he had on so many clothes he couldn't reach the snow to his face to eat it. Ryan would be an icicle and still wouldn't want to come in.... don't blame him. Took 10 minutes to get all the wet clothes off and oh the pain of frozen fingers!
