A couple of days a week Paxton has preschool and Ryan and I get Gauge all to ourselves. Most weeks I am usually trying to catch up on the cleaning and Ryan has homework but this last week Ryan and I threw caution to the wind because we were aching to hang out with the little man.
We started off with a walk around the block and then Gauge headed straight for the park. We played at the park and on the slides for awhile but realized it was time to go when we saw Gauge just casually walking away. We followed and he took us to the tennis court next to the playground. I take Paxton and Gauge here sometimes to run around and we play with tennis balls. There were some tennis balls left in the court so Ryan and Gauge threw them around a bit. Gauge had a blast!
The weather has been so perfect outside the last little while. It was even kind of HOT. When we got home from California we had come home to 60 degree weather and lower so it was nice to have everything warm up.
Whenever we are in the backyard Gauge jumps on the yellow JR-50 so Ryan decided on our way home from our walk that it was time to take the bike out for a spin.
Gauge was in heaven! I think he may like motorcycles more than Paxton!
I shot lots of video and they rode for quite a while. Gauge had a smile literally plastered on his face!
After watching for so long I decided it was my turn. Its getting a little harder to get around with this belly...I even laid it over once... (WHAT?! the ground was wet! I don't have a lot of room to turn!!) shhhh, don't tell Pax!
Gauge wasn't too pleased that I took a turn and then he was upset that he couldn't fit on the bike with me

After my turn they took off again
then daddy and Gauge jumped
I don't think Gauge has had so much attention before. I feel terrible about this because Paxton used to get this kind of attention every day. There didn't used to be a day that went by where Ryan and Paxton didn't ride the motorcycles and jump on the trampoline together. These days Paxton takes a lot of attention and I think it takes away from Gauge sometimes. It was so nice to have this time with him.
Gauge loved it!
and then he passed out
When we picked Paxton up from school Gauge kept telling him mum mum for motorcycle and Paxton figured it out. When we got home the boys were at it again
Paxton is a natural
Pax kept getting stuck in the yard because of his training wheels, so we hit the road next. We went to a nearby parking lot and the boys took off.
Paxton follows Ryan exactly. When I walked behind them as they were riding home I couldn't help but remind myself that this is my life, and this is my little family. I know, emotional prego Whitney, but I feel so blessed. Having a day with Ryan was absolutely heaven and sharing it with Gauge and Paxton...that has to be what heaven is like!
I know its not Thanksgiving time quite yet but I just need to say how thankful I am for my life! We have wonderful friends and such a beautiful little family. We have a little GIRL on the way and even though we go through our hard times, I wouldn't trade them! I love you boys so much!!

Great minds must think alike....Dan got my bike out this weekend and I did take it for a few spins around the neighborhood. Looks like you had a fun.....hey Whit I DIDN'T fall off my bike and it is a 250! :) I think that they next bike will have to be PINK!!!
Loving the post. I too had to pull out a bike tonight. Did a little riding. Maybe we can join together again and ride together.
Looks like a blast! Wonder what Shelby will be like? Alex likes the boy "stuff" but she is total girl. So much fun to have both!!
Well, now you've done it...there is ALL kinds of evidence of the "crime" and Paxton may just find out! I love the smile all over Gauge's face. True joy!
