It's almost here!
Halloween is coming and we are ALMOST READY!
Batman has been around, pretty much every day. Its pretty cool to have your own Superhero in the house although I am sure he gets pretty tired of saving the day, every day!
He already saved Gauge from going out of the yard, and then he hugged him.
This year, Batman is my favorite Superhero! Can you blame me?
Gauge has decided that he can get out of the fence in the backyard. We made a corral of sorts to keep him from getting into Daddy's things around the driveway. He proved that nothing can keep him in this week. Since the fence was already needing some repair we took it down.
When I say we, I mean ALL OF US. It was pretty cool having the boys help. They stacked all of the wood for Dad and helped Mom take them down

In other big news we decided to sell the FJ40. I know, we LOVE that thing too but we didn't drive it at all this summer. When we bought it we had visions of wheeling and road trips with the top off and the boys in the back. When we realized there is no safe way to strap the boys in the back seat it became difficult to go on any sort of drive. We sold it on eBay to a guy in California. He decided to drive all the way back to Sacramento sight unseen. This is Ryan making sure she is in tip top shape for the trip
I found these cool cutouts on allrecipes.com and Paxton picked a mean one for himself and a nice one for Gauge
We made hot chocolate because its getting COLD outside these days and the boys had been outside all night. Paxton had a long sleeve shirt on. I asked him to get a short sleeved shirt on so that we could go to work. He came up in his Sunday best...so we went without
Paxton helped the whole time. He helped dig out the guts and he helped me "guide" the knife to carve
Gauge came up later- after I had already carved the inside of his pumpkin out. I think he felt a little left out because he grabbed the guts from off the table and put them back into his pumpkin...then he took them out again.
We got a visit from our friends Maria and Everette. It was nice to see them. They live next door and we NEVER see each other anymore! Isn't he so cute?!!
Our pumpkins
We hit the creamery last week at BYU. Something that Doug and Maria turned us onto. Its one of Paxton's favorite things to do. He usually orders Mint ice cream and water...
That's about it for us these days. Ryan is still deep into school. They just keep piling the work load. At work I am training a new hire. It keeps me pretty busy so I feel like I have gotten behind on my blogging.
This is our big week at the Bastian home. There is a lot to do. Cakes to make, birthdays to have, Halloween to enjoy. I hope your all having a wonderful October!!
